Setup Requirements

What Is Required Before Installation

Before the Aloha POS integration can be completed, remote access and network access must be confirmed.

1

Remote Access to the Aloha Back Office PC

NxtEdge must have a way to securely connect to the Aloha Back Office computer for installation and configuration.

Acceptable remote access options may include:

  • TeamViewer
  • Secure remote access tools
  • Command Center
  • Other approved remote desktop solutions
2

Firewall and Network Access

The client must verify that no firewall is blocking access to the nxtedge.net URL.

If a firewall is in place, the client should:

  • Contact the firewall or network provider
  • Request that access to nxtedge.net be allowed
  • Confirm required ports are open
  • Verify that the Aloha Back Office PC can transmit data successfully

Without remote access and firewall approval, Aloha data may not transmit successfully.
